We are really happy about the nice little article in the Cologne cinema magazine “Choices” about our TakaTomo.de shop. Thanks to the editors!

TakaTomo.de is now online since almost 10 years. But since today we also have a shop in the real world. We have it from begin of May but the last two months we have been busy  with decorating. Especially my wife Kerstin. Also Bine and Stephi from RICE Denmark have helped us to build a little RICE Shop in one corner. You will see it in the right corner of the image. “Fun, funky & fabulous” – that’s the name of the new RICE Denmark collection autumn/winter 2011. It’s a lovely patchwork of colourful articles inspired from places and people all over the world. A mix of colourfil baskets, boxes, melamine tableware, paper and other materials. If products could talk the new RICE articles would have a lot to tell. Three months ago I ordered the first products by “Die Spiegelburg”. Now I have enlarged my assortment of all the lovely Funny Dots products. In the future I want to have all of them. By using them garden work is fun and the breakfast table will be a place of happiness: TakaTomo.de/Spiegelburg.

Directly with the beginning of this new year 2010 our son Emil Leo was born one week ago. This means: “Mr. TakaTomo” is father now. And very happy.  I never thought that it can be so satisfying to watch your baby while it is sleeping. Soon Emil will scuttle around and will test each of my colourful products. So for the future each product will have the “tested by Emil Leo” seal

“Sunkissed” – This is the motto of the new summer collection 2010 by RICE Denmark. And as usual all new products are full of sunshine and happiness and designed with a lot of love. DHL is awarded from the German Institut for Service Quality for being the best German parcel service. For this reason all packages from TakaTomo.de will be delivered only by DHL’s yellow cars. In most cases German customers will get their order within the next day. Our worldwide shipping will supply all other customers also very quick.

TakaTomo.de fosters the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and is proud foster parent of the little elephant Buchuma. in 20o4 this baby elephant had fallen into a pipeline manwhole but hopefully has been saved by the animal welfare activists of Daphne Sheldrick.
